The three albums I’m releasing this year
New albums on their way to you this year, Lord willing.
River, Solo Piano Volume II
Hey friends, and thanks for checking out what I’m up to this year*. Right off the bat, I don’t want to keep you waiting, so if you’ve just come to listen to the preview from the upcoming River Solo Piano Volume II album, just press play.
Hope you enjoyed that! I’m finishing up recording for this next volume of instrumental piano music, and I’ll be sharing more details with you shortly. It’s been ten years since I recorded volume one, so this has been a long time coming. My friend and musician extraordinaire Adam Miller will again be mixing and mastering the album. Super thrilled to have him on board. Now, about those other two albums…
Worship recording
These are songs that we’ve been singing in worship with my church family in Lebanon, Tennessee, as well as on the road and online.
Coniah Lark, Everything But Me
This project and these songs are echoes of the prophets set over a bed of electro-folk melodies and rhythms. I really don’t know how else to describe it, other than that it’s so different from anything else I’ve ever released that I felt like it needed its own name.
On every high hill, under every green tree
You lay down with the enemy
You make your own bed, then you cry out to Me
To save you from your misery
You trust in your lovers and lust after these
Hike your skirt in every breeze
You say you’re My people
But how can My people
Chase after everything but Me?
More info coming soon. Updates on Facebook & Instagram. Thank you, friends. Hope to see you online or on the road asap.
Much love,
Phil
* If the Lord allows. (Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. — James 4:13-16, NIV)
